All of the Hot Wheels and Matchbox. Scale models of various size. Mustangs, Corvettes, a BMW Z4, and who knows what else I have around. What was I missing?
A Ford Ranger.
If you didn't know, I drive a Ranger. It's also no secret I love it to pieces. Of course, this meant I wanted a model of a Ranger in some size. After endless searching, I finally found one. A random search on Amazon turned up just what I was looking for.
It's a 1994 STX 4x4, originally a dealer promotional model from the same year. It's in 1/25 Scale, made by ERTL.
With the worst grille they ever put on the Rangers.
It's got a really well detailed chassis.
Opening tailgate, the fanciest thing about the model.
The interior is fairly detailed considering the doors don't open. It's a manual!
It even has Firestone Radial ATX tires.
It's all just plastic. And yes it's ugly. But it's a Ranger. Many of those are ugly. Some of them are also mostly fiberglass, which is like plastic. So it's fitting.
